Today we did our last paragraph on our own story – it was fun. We have been writing about someone getting trapped by using suspense in our writing. This has been based upon the Alma video and text.


This week we have been learning about percentages. Today, we applied this to fluency, reasoning and problem solving. We spent time discussing what makes a good explanation for when we are explaining how we can prove/ disprove something.


This week, we wrote a recount about the trip to Crownhill fort. We have also looked at religious pictures and discussed the different symbolism which was represented.


In PE we practised running with and getting comfortable with the ball. We also thought about tactics for finding space and using it.


On Wednesday, all of Year 6 went on a trip to Crownhill fort in Plymouth. The tour men (Ed and Ian) showed us around and fired a rifle and a cannon (Mr Bradley’s favourite part of the day). Overall we really enjoyed the trip!
