This week, we have started our new Literacy topic on newspaper reports. We have been looking at a newspaper report based upon the last story which we studied: Night terrors in Cairo. We have learnt about the key features of a newspaper report including identifying writer bias. Additionally, we have been studying how to use semi-colons within our writing.
Throughout this week, we have been expanding our knowledge on number and place value. We have applied our knowledge of negative numbers, place value and rounding to really life problems and situations.
This week, we have written up our diary accounts for our Viking invaders. We have also learnt about the Anglo-Saxon kings and their relationships with the Vikings. We used this information to create non-chronological reports. In PSHE, we have spent time learning about our mental well-being and discussing how our actions and reactions can affect both other people but also ourselves.
