Happy Summer Holiday - keep safe and sound. Looking forward to seeing children and families back to school on Thursday 5th September 2019

wk ending 28th March

What a fantastic fun filled last three days.

The children have had lots of Easter fun making Easter cards to take home. We enjoyed having so many parents in on Tuesday afternoon to work with their children to decorate their Easter eggs. It was lovely to see so many of you there. The children also enjoyed working with you on other Easter craft activities too.

We made chocolate Easter nests on our last day. The children enjoyed the cooking but also learnt about materials and their properties with melting and cooling. We talked about larger numbers when weighing and how many more grams we needed. We also thought about time, and how long it would take to melt the chocolate in the microwave. As always, the best part was eating them!

We had a last look at our science experiment and compared our seeds growth rates in the various growing conditions. We talked about why the cress in the sun was so green compared to the cress in the fridge with no sun. We also had a taste of the cress, which was not as tasty as our chocolate nests!

Have a fabulous Easter break!
