The weeks are seeming to fly by this term I can't believe it is Friday again!  At the beginning of the week the children learnt all about the Waitangi treaty and wrote diary entries as a Maori chief sharing their uncertainty as to whether they should sign the treaty with the British Crown.  The children are really enjoying the topic of New Zealand, discovering more about this relatively new and fascinating country.

We are slowing conquering fractions, learning about equivalent fractions and how to find fractions of amount.  The children are no longer afraid of the division sign as we are working hard on understanding division.  Any extra help at home with this tricky topic is always a bonus for the children.

The stories the children are writing in literacy are imaginative and filled with excellent vocabulary.  The story of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang has really captured their imaginations and they have written their own brilliant versions.

Well done Crantock on another super week of learning.

Have a lovely weekend,
Class Crantock!
