Wk ending 25th May 2018

On Monday, our class enjoyed a science morning learning about forces. Specifically, we learnt about the 3rd law of motion and how this theory helps rockets to work. However, we couldn’t just leave this lesson without testing the theory… so we designed rockets. The children used water bottles and a range of card and paper to design their rocket. This was a test of our scientific knowledge; we had to consider how much water should be left inside the bottle and the aerodynamics of our rockets. Once the rockets were finished, we set them off in the playground using a pump. We had a super time witnessing the rockets sail high into the sky. Here are some photos of our super science day:
