Congratulations to our award winners this week for their hard work in maths.

We have had a great week back. We had our class assembly on Tuesday, where the class shared their favourite bits from our topic work last term. We shared our felt tin mine landscapes that we had sewn with the whole school.

We have been introducing our new topic of natural disasters this week, including a story in literacy about escaping natural disasters. We have learnt how tsunamis are formed and created information posters and leaflets about them. Our words of the week have been believe, length, strength, caught and naughty.

In maths we have been learning to round to 10's, 100's and 1000's, along with our 7 times table.

In science we are looking at melting experiments, on Monday we will be investigating how long chocolate takes to melt.

I am looking forward to next week's experiment and more ideas you all have for natural disaster stories.
We will be working on our 8 times table next week and our word of the week will be centre, century, circle and certain.
