Wk ending 1st December 2017

What a cold week it has been! This didn't stop Watergate working really hard indoors and out, however. We came to the end of our first set of sounds in phonics and we are now finding out what the children have learnt, in the mean time we are putting our knowledge of sounds into lots of word writing practise.

In maths we looked at 3D shapes and how they are different to 2D shapes. We found some shape songs that were really catchy to help us. The polydron, in particular proved very popular in helping the children make and identify 3D shapes.

Rehearsals for our Nativity are coming along nicely, we can't wait for you to see it. Remember it's 2.30pm on Wednesday 13th December. Can we have their costumes in by the end of this week please.

Finally, a big thank you to the parents that attended the decorations afternoon on Friday. We feel it was a big success and the children loved having their mummies and daddies in school!
