In line with government guidance, from September we will be welcoming all registered pupils to our schools.

Wk ending 19th January

This week Watergate have started lots of work around the Gingerbread Man. We have started to learn a class story of it, along with Porth; we have decorated the gingerbread man; painted a large one to add words from the story to; used spotty gingerbread men to count & match to numerals: and undertook an experiment to see when dunked biscuits break - a fair test with cold and warm water. Everyone enjoyed doing this!
We also started work on number sentences using the language of 'add' and 'equals' - we also used gingerbread men and buttons (counters) to help us understand this .
We will be continuing with work on this story over the next few weeks.
In PE we have moved on from balancing on parts of our body to body movements. We have started with body rolls concentrating so far on log rolls - laying out with arms above heads and rolling along a mat. We will try more rolls in the coming weeks.
