Congratulations to our award winners for their perseverance and hard work this week.
We have had a wonderful week of learning, including learning about the different states of matter and properties of the states in science, dribbling a basketball in PE, partitioning numbers using diagrams in Maths and learning about the human and physical characteristics on maps during our topic lesson.
We have also been learning a balanced argument text on "Should the Tradition of Hurling Continue in the Modern Age?", looking at the arguments for and against. I can't wait to hear your ideas about your balanced argument next week.
Our five spelling words this week were: heard, heart, early, earth and learn.
It was lovely meeting some of you on Thursday at Porthpean's Parent Welcome Meeting, I have attached the slides from the meeting below.
For homework this term we are asking you to complete 10 pieces of homework from the grid, and at least one piece of homework from each subject. Drop these in as and when you complete them. The grid can also be found attached below.
Porthpean's Newsletter is also attached with some useful information such as PE days, and curriculum information for this term.
I am looking forward to our trip to Geevor Tin Mine on Thursday 20th, hope you are too!
