Week ending 9th March

Another busy and exciting week in Towan class.  No snow this week but we have had great fun on our Music Topic day!  The children had lots of fun making their own compositions using instruments. Their focus was to create a piece of music to match the mood of a particular planet, inspired by a piece of music by Gustav Holst called "The Planets".  They produced some really creative and impressive work! Following this as part of our World book day celebrations the children got to share a book with an adult or a friend. All in all we had a great day!

In Literacy we have started to look at persuasive texts and the children will be learning a text, they will get to explore different types of persuasive texts and look at the language features used before writing their own text.

In PE we have continued with Gymnastics and Hockey. The children are continuing to enjoy working alongside the Hockey coach and I am really proud of how cooperative and respectful they are in these sessions.  Keep up the good work Towan!
