Happy Summer Holiday - keep safe and sound. Looking forward to seeing children and families back to school on Thursday 5th September 2019

Week ending 7.12.18

Well done to Phoebe and Noah for their dojo certificate this week, they did some fantastic pattern making!
This is week we have been creating cartoon story maps for our new Mog stories which we have planned. This has helped the children to see where they're story is going and to verbalise it ready for writing. We have also done our termly reading quiz to see how we are getting on with our reading skills and comprehension. We have started writing our stories, we've just written our first paragraph introducing our character so that the reader know what they look like, what they are like, where they live and who they live with. Next week we will move on to the next part of the story and begin to change it more to create our own version of he story.
in maths this week we have been measuring classroom objects and then comparing lengths using the breather than > and less than < sign. We must remember that to measure we need to start our object at 0. We have also been creating repeating patterns, we had some really unique patterns ranging from two part patterns to 6 part patterns!
We have been thinking about how we would rebuild London after the great fire to make it better and so that if another fire happened it wouldn't spread so easily.
christmas play rehearsals are going well, we look forward to welcoming you in on Tuesday at 2pm. We will be doing a dress rehearsal on Monday so if you haven't sent a costume in already please do so on Monday.
Thank you you to those who came in on Tuesday for our parent afternoon, we hope you enjoyed making Christingles and decorations with us and we also hope you enjoyed the Christingle service.
