Week ending 29.06.18

Despite the heat we have had a very successful week and have been working hard as always.
Well done to Noah and Oliver for their DOJO certificates.
We have finished writing our own versions of the Three Little Pigs and they were fantastic! We really concentrated on correct spellings and ensured that all of our sentences made sense and our writing is looking our very best.
In Maths, we have revisited our number bonds to 10 and 20 using those facts to help us with number bonds to 100 too.
We have been out playing rounders in P.E again whilst also trying to keep cool but we had great fun!
Our Art is based on sculpture and we have been building sculptures out of cubes and also sticks and Plasticine based on the work of Eva Rothschild who makes geometric sculptures.
Also a big well done to those children who took part in Year 2 cross country on Tuesday, the children behaved fantastically and represented our school with pride.
We are looking forward to our trip to Charlestown on Monday, which will be going ahead.
Thank you to those of you who have paid on ParentPay, any outstanding monies must be paid as soon as possible. Please make sure children are dressed appropriately for the weather and put suncream on them before school. Make sure they come with their packed lunch, plenty of water and a hat.
On Friday, we have Sports Day starting at 9.15 am. We will get the children changed and head up to the field straight after the register. You can wait for us up there and follow your child around each event. There will be a parents race at the end so bring your trainers!
