Happy Summer Holiday - keep safe and sound. Looking forward to seeing children and families back to school on Thursday 5th September 2019

Week Ending 28th September 2018

Another fantastic week for Mawgan Porth class! We've been super busy in Literacy inventing our own adventure stories using amazing adjectives and always remembering full stops and capital letters. In Maths we have been finding one more and one less than numbers up to 100! The beautiful weather allowed us to do some outdoor maths. We marched as we counted and worked together to organise the ordinal numbers, this was a challenge- but with some fantastic team work we got there in the end!
We received an interesting letter this week from two superheroes who need our help designing a new safety helmet for their outfits, so we began experimenting with everyday materials to see which ones would be suitable. We finished the midweek by revising our class contract so that we are always spreading kindness during lesson times, playtime and lunchtimes. Well done everyone!
Harvest Festival- Monday 8th October
The children will be preparing songs and learning to share at this years harvest festival which will take place in the church at 1.30pm.
It would be lovely to see family there too.

To Joshua who received a Certificate of Achievement for working really hard both in school and out of school. Well done also to Jaycee who has produced some fantastic story writing this week. Keep up the great work!
