Week ending 28.9.18

Well done to David and Sakara for their DOJO certificates!

Our Harvest service will take place on Monday 8th October at 1:30 in the Church, thank you for the offers of help to walk down so far.

This week we have been busy re-writing Funny Bones with our own characters like Super Heroes, I'm looking forward to reading them all properly! Next week we'll be looking at Deadly 60 and writing information pages / fact files.

In maths we have been adding two digit numbers and ones and then two digit numbers and tens. We have also been looking at word problems, although some of the sums have been simpler it was good to see if we could read understand the language and the information we needed to make our number sentences.
We had a great time on Wednesday playing games with objects to 20 and 40 and making patterns outside in our forest school area. We are aiming to go out each week :-)

In topic we have been making our own habitat monsters. We've designed and made them out of burger boxes, the children have been able to talk about what their animal needs to survive and where it would live.

Next week Forest school groups swap over so if your child hasn't been going they will be starting to go on Tuesday 2nd October so please bring waterproof clothing and wellies!
