In line with government guidance, from September we will be welcoming all registered pupils to our schools.

Week ending 26.01.18

Well done to Oliver and Holly for their DOJO certificates.
We have been finishing our block of writing about How to Hide a Lion at School this week. We have all come up with some fantastic variations of the story, including How to hide a panda, a fox, a dog, a penguin and even a snake. I our animal descriptions we have also included our knowledge from science about which animals lay eggs.
In maths we have been learning about commutative law and how multiplication sums can be changed around but division sums must always start with biggest number. We've also been looking at dividing fractions dividing by half, a third and a quarter.
In science we have been looking at how humans grow and we have enjoyed looking at baby photos of our classmates and guessing who they are. We have some more ready to look at next week!
In PSHE we have been creating friendship recipes thinking about what qualities we want in a friend.
We've also been reminding ourselves what a noun and proper noun is and we've been having a go at sorting them into groups.
Before Christmas we designed Road Safety Posters and the winners for key stage 1 were all in Holywell Class! Huge well done to Teo - 1st place, Ella - 2nd place and Ray 3rd place!
