Week Ending 23.11.18

It was great to have chance to sit down with you all this week and discuss how your children are doing.

In Literacy the children have been writing their own sequels to The Magic Brush. We have been trying to develop our editing skills and understand that the first draft is ever going to be perfect.

In maths we have continued focusing on multiplication and division. This week we have paid particular attention to solving word problems. It has been brilliant to see lots of the children using the images and resources independently to aid their problem solving.

In Science we discussed and sorted light sources. The children made some really good explanations of what a light source is and how some things only reflect light.

We have also begun rehearsing for our Christmas performance. The children will be learning some of their favourite Christmas songs and poems that they have written.

On Thursday we had a visit from Devon and Cornwall Police to talk to the children for Road Safety week and give them a chance to see and touch their equipment. They all enjoyed getting the chance to sit in the back of the Police van and seeing me get handcuffed.

Have a great weekend.
