Week ending 22nd June 2018

This week in Fistral we have been been finishing our work on seaside poems and started looking at the story of the Three Little Pigs. We have been reading different versions of the story and thinking about how we can change the main characters. Our focus for this writing is WOW vocabulary and accurate spelling.

In Maths we revisited our learning on position and direction and had great fun directing each other out in the  playground. We have been getting to grips with estimation too and checking our estimations using inverse calculations and column methods.

In Art, we looked at the work of the sculptor Brendan Jamison who builds pieces of art work with sugar cubes! We used multilink blocks to have a go at building our own structures.

In PE, we have been practising for our upcoming sports day (Friday 6th July 9am) and having a go at cricket with our Sports Coach. We were shown how to hold the bat correctly and how to keep score of our runs.

  • Don't forget to check our Bookbags!
Our trip letter to Charlestown went out today and we are very excited about a day out linked to our seaside topic. Please could you send the  slips and payment back as soon as possible.
