Welcome to Porth's blog.
From now on, all things being equal, there should be a new page up every week!

This week we have been busy settling in to our new class. The children are learning the routines of the day and are fast picking up the rules and expectations.

The children are beginning to come in really well. We are so pleased with the way they come in and sit on the carpet after just the first full week.
There will still be the odd upset entry, of course - it's all still very new! But I promise you, the quicker you say goodbye and hand them over the better it is for them.

And on that note, if you want to wave a goodbye through the window once the children are in please wave & then go - it really helps with their settling.

Snack is a very popular time/activity! But please be aware that if you send in a snack from home it needs to be either fruit, cheese or yogurt - no other snack is acceptable under our healthy schools policy.

We went into the hall today for PE. We only took shoes and socks off but next week we will try to change into our PE kits. The children listened really well and didn't get any of their shoes, socks or jumpers muddled in the process!

Below is the Curriculum Newsletter which was also sent home as a paper copy on Friday.

If you want to talk to us about anything then please feel free to catch us at the end of the day or send us a dojo message which we will respond to when we can.
