What a busy and tiring week it has been!
We are settling well into our new routines and have impressed both Mrs Milsom and Mrs Blown with our fantastic subject knowledge in Science and Maths.

We are using the Funny Bones story The Pet Shop in our literacy writing. We have planned our changes and now look forward to writing our own version of the story next week. Our focus for writing will be using correct letter shapes, the correct sounds to spell words and adjectives to make our writing more interesting.
Our 5 words of the week are -

You can help us learn these words at home by practicing how to spell them and using them in sentences so they are put into a context.

In Maths we have been recapping and learning place value, partitioning our tens and ones and placing numbers on the number line as well as ordering our numbers. We learnt about the signs for greater than and less than  and how to use them to compare numbers.
In Science we have been looking at whether objects are living, dead or never alive and deciding if objects have lived once before, for example paper used to live as it comes from trees!

In DT we are thinking about animals and where they live, we will be designing homes for them next week. We have been thinking about the woodland and animals too in Geography, next week we'll be exploring the Rainforest!
