In line with government guidance our school is working towards a wider opening. Currently, we are open to key worker’s children, vulnerable children and invited year groups.

Week ending 13th July 2018

This week in Fistral class we have been learning the true story of Little Red Riding Hood. Did you know that she is actually very rude to a number of animals and ends up eating all the food she is supposed to give to Grandma?
In relationships and sex education, we have learnt the names of both the male and female body parts and similarities and differences in both genders. We were all very sensible and used the correct names when we discussed different body parts.
Our maths has focussed on telling the time and problem solving. We are confidently telling the time when it shows o'clock and half past. We need to keep practising quarter to and quarter past to make sure we are really secure.
In Geography, we learnt about island life and watched a video about what it is like to live on the Isles of Scilly. We couldn't believe that some children have to travel to school by boat!
On Monday we have 24 children heading off for Camp Kernow. If you are camping you will need to come straight into Fistral class. Parents please can you take their luggage round to the front of the school and wait for the bus. The bus will arrive at 9.15am, luggage can be put on and then we will come out to say our goodbyes. The camp is 'off grid' which will make it tricky to upload any photo's, we will however be in contact with Miss Cameron by text. She will update class dojo with information about how we are getting on.
If you are not going on camp you will need to head to Holywell class. Here you will spend a fun packed 3 days with Mrs Dalton. Children will be collected from Holywell at the end of the day.
Please remember there are no more after school clubs this term.
On Thursday 19th we will be opening our doors at 3pm so you can come in and have a look at your children's books.
