Welcome back to the Towan class weekly blog! And what a week we have had!

On Monday we had a musical performance at the Harvest Festival at St. Columb Major Church. The key stage 2 performances were all fantastic, and it was enjoyed all around! The Towan class changed things up a bit with a more alternative performance of  "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For", by U2. It was, in fact, chosen by the pupils, and was a huge hit at the festival.

In maths this week we worked on our problem solving skills, involving subtraction and addition. I highly recommend coming in and seeing our active working walls.

In literacy, we have been working on our reading comprehension. It would be amazing if the kids were able to read aloud some texts at home to gain some extra practice, as well as be asked questions on the texts to embed their learning.

As it has been World Mental Health Week, we have been continuing the use of the Towan "Worry Box", which involves pupils anonymously writing down a personal worry and submitting it into the box, where a "worry" would then be selected lucky dip style. The pupils would then be split up into groups and talk over the worry by breaking them down into manageable problems, which we can then solve.

This has been another fantastic week, and is set to continue into next week's Healthy Week!
