Hello and welcome to Towan's Weekly Blog.
This week the pupils have been immersing themselves in the geography of America through the historic Route 66. The pupils have been following a bespoke interactive virtual reality drive through of Route 66 and learning about the stops on the way. Next step is Tornado Alley!
The pupils literacy has been based around persuasive writing with the pupils innovating upon an original piece of writing on the Statue of Liberty and writing their own on either the Grand Canyon, Yosemite National Park, Yellowstone National Park or Bryce Canyon. Some of the writing was exceptional and the children took such pride in their work, it was fantastic.
Our numeracy continues with multiplication and there has been some excellent work into open ended mathematical reasoning questions... I'm sure many came home on Wednesday talking about their learning, the fervor within the classroom around one question was at boiling point!
Well done for another fantastic week Towan, we can look forward to next week with the continuation of are Christmas Art Project on Tuesday.
