In line with government guidance, from September we will be welcoming all registered pupils to our schools.

Week Ending 13th July 2018

Well, as the oldest among you may remember (surely you do, Mrs Hatton?!) the phrase - TW3. If you don't know what that is - That Was The Week That Was!
Another hot one with lots going on.
We finally completed our writing marathon about 'What Goldilocks Did Next' - hurrah! It was planned to be spread over 3 weeks but getting that time to do the 3rd and final part, 'The End', was hard but we did it.
We have also been looking at numbers and patterns in maths.
And of course we had the Beach Trip. It was a great day and a great time was had by all - even the adults. Though whether the children were trying to bury Mrs Hatton from the feet up (see below) or just stop her from moving I'm not sure. I'll teach them to bury her when she's laying down next time - much easier & quicker that way!
The following poem was part of our graduation on Friday morning.

"Time is flying quickly and we are growing fast,

I can’t believe this year has gone and now is in the past.

We’ve had so many lovely times with fun along the way,

The memories will stay with us, each and every day.

Digging and den building and playing in the sand,

Teamwork and sharing – a friend to hold our hand.

Maths, reading, writing and story telling too,

A Wriggly Nativity we performed to you.

Dressing up as animals, cooking, Chinese dragons too,

Farm trips, beach trips so many things to do.

Now we move to Year One with fun times ahead,

But we have had the best time – it really must be said."
Finally, a big thank you to everyone and goodbye! I'm sorry to be leaving before the end of the year but that's the way it goes sometimes.
I'm sure everyone will love the next 7 days with Miss Elliott. And of course Mrs Hatton will still be there.
And it gives Watergate a head start on Year One - nobody else will get an extra week now with their teacher for next year - think on!
Have a fantastic summer & holiday and I look forward to seeing everyone around next year when we are all back in September.
