Spring 1 Week 3

In Pentire this week, there has been plenty of active and creative learning taking place. On Monday, we had a topic day, completing a range of art activities based on our topic ‘from the dawn of time’. The children learnt about how art from the Stone Age could teach us about the lives people lead. Following on from this, we created charcoal stories, chalk hand prints and Stone Age clay tablets.

By Thursday, the clay had dried and the children could finish painting their clay tablets. We enjoyed releasing our artistic side during the topic day!

While one unit of learning was beginning, another was ending as we completed our final electricity lesson. The task was simple: design an advert with light that required a working circuit. I was so impressed with the enthusiasm of the class who created a wonderful range of adverts and showed a superb understanding of how to create working electrical circuits! Well done to everyone!
