Happy Summer Holiday - keep safe and sound. Looking forward to seeing children and families back to school on Thursday 5th September 2019

July 2019

We have had an amazing July!
Active week was such fun, we had a wonderful opportunity to have a go at many different sports. These were Cornish Wrestling, Yoga, Water Polo, and Skateboarding. Alongside all of these to kick off the Active week we walked to the local beach and had some fun creating sand sculptures and a sand castle with a moat!
We have also been enjoying learning lots about the Ancient Greeks. In literacy we wrote our own Greek Myths, and in topic have been learning songs based on the Ancient Greeks and their stories as well as learning how the Ancient Greeks created their laws and rules. Comparing these rules to ours today and the differences between how the countries were run.
In maths we have had some fun learning about direction and movement on grids, playing battleships against each other and creating our own graphs and charts on favourite colours, favourite pets and favourite fruit!
So far it has been an awesome July, and we still have our Sports Day to come (12th July) and our transition day (15th July) where the children spend a morning with their new teacher, and watching the dress rehearsal of the show Oliver!
