In line with government guidance, from September we will be welcoming all registered pupils to our schools.

Autumn 2 Week 6

This week in Pentire class, we have been taking a problem-solving approach to our maths learning. The children have been learning to calculate the area of composite shapes, triangles and parallelograms. We then applied our new knowledge of area and perimeter to solve a tricky maths challenge. Having calculated the area and perimeter of Mr Bradley’s lounge and kitchen, the children then had to calculate the cost of his carpet and skirting board. Our class embraced this challenge, showing what great mathematicians they are!

Thursday afternoon saw KS2 perform in the Christingle service. The singing from all the children was superb and they should be proud of their performance. Well done to all of Pentire class for a super contribution to a super Christingle service.
